| Oakcrest Farms was established on July 17,1982 (by the
marriage of Joe & Brenda Goett) and takes its name from the street
where they first lived in Peoria: Oakcrest Drive. Upon purchasing
their twenty-acre homestead in rural Metamora, the name Oakcrest
Farms was chosen to reflect the hundreds of ancient oak trees that
grow on the property and along the banks of Partridge Creek.
It's farms (plural) because the original sellers intended to
parcel out the five acre plots, and the plat maps show four
different properties. |
