Oakcrest Farms is currently home to five horses. In
order of age:
 |
Sassy - a grey Arabian/Quarter horse mix and Brenda's
primary horse, was born in 1993. She used to be higher on
the pecking order when her mother and grandmother (Fox & Nina)
were on the farm. Now she's on the bottom. Still a
rock-solid trail horse who will run 'til she drops.

 |
Daisy - is a buckskin Tobiano paint
mare from Texas. Born in 2004, we bought her as a
three-year-old. We call her "Lazy Daisy" cause she's
always lagging the pack on the trail. Spurs are required
to keep her up with the rest. But she's awfully sweet,
never bucks, and will do about anything you ask. |
 |
Lucky - a tri-color Arab/Quarter mixed
Paint was born in 1994. He's the only gelding (no balls, for you city-slickers)
we have.
The second-most experienced trail horse, he still needs a strong
hand and better-than-average rider due to his clumsy gait and
Arab bloodlines. He is Joe's main ride, mostly because no one
else can stand his hippity-hop trot. |

 |
Lucy - is a black and white Paint mare from Minnesota.
She was born in 2000. Very
calm, very well-mannered, we can put anybody on her.
